Let's be real here - the dogs are largely responsible for us being together. Hence, the wolf (Wiska)-hound (Blix) wedding.

Over the last few years, we crossed paths multiple times as professional acquaintances and, in early 2025, began going for weekly dog walks, mostly on the Legacy Trail in Truckee.

That very first dog walk left an impression on both of us. We found each other easy to talk to, easy to laugh with, and easy to trust.

Over the course of multiple deep conversations on dog walks, we learned we had much in common (including a refreshing sense of humor) and felt safe talking with each other about vulnerabilities, including life's challenges, hopes, and dreams.

We realized that what we wanted in partnership, what we offered, our values, and life goals are closely aligned.

Dog walks blurred into dinners and more time spent together, and each time we parted ways, we wanted more.

We committed. We knew. We covered a lot of ground in a short time. The love, learning, and devotion between us continues to grow each day.

(Not to mention the very funny, cute, close relationship the dogs have developed!)
